Anastrophe
Anastrophe is a poetry magazine that showcases authors from under-represented communities. Anastrophe uses bold colors and type choices to highlight these under-represented authors further, making their existence and their communities issues something the reader cannot ignore.
Anastrophe is printed on cotton paper, giving the magazine a very luxurious and high-end feel to further celebrate and highlight these authors.
Anastrophe is all about rejecting western standards, and reflects this in its design as well as its content. The traditional grid is constantly being broken, the text boxes don’t follow a traditional flow, and large text goes right up to the edge of the page.
This promotional poster for Anastrophe was used to advertise this edition of the magazine. The poster uses spreads from the magazine compiled on top of each other to boldly and loudly take up space.
